Spread 365
Now this is dinner. Shot at the DeCaro's in Fullerton, CA. After stopping by the Italian deli we could do nothing but set up a swank spread for dinner. Wines were nice, one Valpolicella and one Ripasso. Shot with my 35mm f/1.4 prime.
Cluster Bomb 365
Shot at the street market in Fullerton, California. Lots of vegetables at their market and tomatoes being one of the all time best veggies in the world, this was a natural. Contrast came out quite nicely. Shot with my 35mm prime.
Tea Stash 365
Shot at Rutebagorz in Fullerton, CA while stopping to pick up cookies real quick. I'm still screwing around with my new 35mm's f/1.4 thus the slim focus. I have always loved tea but been overly picky about exactly what kind and flavor. I would pass on chamomile in a heart beat. My favorite is still First Nation Peppermint by Honest Tea, although it's incredibly difficult to find these days because it's been discontinued. Find me some though and I will love you.
Communism 365
Shot at a ball field in Fullerton, CA that "technically" I may not have legally entered. Whatever, the devil is in the details. I'm always amazed at the amount of signage in the world dictating rules. Shot with my 35mm prime at f/2.2 and ISO 100 (it's still quite sunny here in California).
Rise Again 365
After waiting nearly six months for my new wide angle to arrive in stock, I caught the box as it came off the UPS truck this morning. It's a 35mm f/1.4 prime and rounds out my shooting selection of primes. This shot is from the fist volley of pictures with the new 35mm. I pulled out the color saturation in post production. Would have been better with a smaller aperture.
Libertad 365
In an effort to up the game I joined a group on flickr that took an unruly and arduous approach to photography. Take a photograph every single day for an entire year.
With 86 consecutive days down I'm loving it and figured it was time to bring it live. I can't promise I will be as ambitious as I should but I'll do my best to publish each day's shot with some behind the scene details on what was going on in my mind (if applicable).
An intersection stop light shot in downtown Fullerton, California at dusk using a 135mm prime. Of the three colors on a stop light red is my favorite. Pretty straight forward shot really with the exception that it was the last shot of the day. I was almost too lazy to bother with it.
